When God Commends You

Daily Devotional – Wednesday, June 11, 2025
“Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
Job 1:8 (NKJV)

Imagine God looking at all the people on earth and pointing you out. That’s what He did with Job. God speaks directly to Satan and says, “Have you seen my servant, Job?” It is not Job bragging about himself. God is the one commending him, saying, “This man lives with integrity. He respects me. He avoids evil.” That’s huge!

Have You Considered My Servant?

God is not impressed by outward appearances or religious routines, but with the heart. When He looked at Job, He saw someone real, someone whose faith was not just words but a lifestyle. Job was not perfect, but he was sincere. He took God seriously, and it showed in how he lived.

It makes you pause and wonder, would God say something like that about me? Is my faith something I live out every day? Do I try to do what is right, even when it is hard or no one sees?

When God Commends You

Job’s story reminds us that God notices. Quiet faithfulness matters. Choosing integrity when no one is watching matters. Living with a heart that honestly wants to honor God, that is what stands out in heaven. You don’t have to be famous, flashy, or flawless to catch God’s eye. Just faithful. Start there today.

Prayer
God, I want to be the kind of person You can commend with joy. Help me live with integrity and keep my heart close to You. I want my life to reflect real love for You. Thank You for noticing the little things.
