The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way.
Psalms 25:9 (NKJV)
God has a soft spot for the humble. These are not the people who pretend to have it all figured out, but the ones who quietly acknowledge God’s help and direction. That is the gist of today’s key text.
He Guides and Teaches the Humble
David reminds us that God does not force His will on people who are proud or stubborn. Instead, He walks closely with those who are open, honest, and willing to be taught. Humility is not thinking less of yourself. It is simply knowing that you don’t have all the answers and being okay with letting God take the lead.
If your hands are full of your own plans, there is no room to receive God’s direction. Conversely, when you release control, God gently places His hand over yours and says, “Let me show you a better way.”
God’s Soft Spot for the Humble
Even Jesus, though He was God, humbled Himself and chose to follow the Father’s plan all the way to the cross. If He lived with that kind of surrender, how much more should we? That’s why God wants us to be humble.
If life feels confusing or uncertain today, stop trying to figure it all out on your own. Slow down. Get quiet. Tell God, “I don’t know what to do, but I’m willing to follow You.” That kind of heart is exactly what God loves to guide.
Prayer
Almighty God, I admit I don’t know everything. Sometimes I act like I do, but deep down, I know I need You. Teach me how to be humble. Guide me and help me walk in the way You know is best.
