Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7 (NKJV)
Deep down, we all long to be loved. We also know life feels right when we are loving others. In today’s key text, John emphasizes that real love does not begin with us. Go is the spring of love.
For Love is of God
God is love, and when we are connected to Him, love naturally flows through us to other people. That kind of love goes beyond nice gestures or good manners. It is the kind of love that listens patiently, forgives freely, and sticks around even when things are hard.
When we love others, it is not just about being good people but a sign that we actually know God. It is impossible to stay close to Him and not be changed by His love. It softens our hearts, opens our eyes, and moves our hands to care.
The Spring of Love
Maybe there are people in your life right now who are hard to love. Perhaps you are feeling a little empty yourself. Thankfully, you don’t have to create love from scratch. You just have to stay close to the One who is love and let Him fill you up.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so perfectly. Help me to stay close to You, the spring of love, so Your love can flow through me to others.
