Daily Devotional – Tuesday, September 9, 2025
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Psalms 68:19 (NIV)

A teacher once asked her students to write down everything they were thankful for in one day. At first, most wrote the obvious items like food, family, and friends. However, as the list grew, they began to notice the little things, like the laughter they shared, the sunshine outside, and even the ability to walk into class.

He Daily Bears Our Burdens

By the end, the board was full, and the students realized their day was packed with blessings they had not even thought about. That is the gist of today’s key text. God does not just bless us occasionally. He blesses us daily.

Every morning, He piles on gifts we don’t always recognize. These benefits include your next breath, your strength to face challenges, forgiveness when you fail, peace in the middle of stress, and even eternal salvation in Christ. These are not random extras. They are part of God’s generous heart for His children.

Notice too that the verse says God bears our burdens. He does not just offer us blessings and leave us alone. He also carries us through the hard days. Just as the Israelites received manna every single morning in the wilderness, God faithfully provides what we need for today.

Sometimes we get so caught up in what we lack that we forget to see what God has already given. Gratitude shifts our perspective. It helps us see that even on the toughest days, God is still loading us with mercy, strength, and hope.

Take a moment today and list three blessings you may have overlooked. Thank God for them. When you do this daily, you’ll notice His fingerprints all over your life.

Almighty God, thank You for carrying my burdens and blessing me every single day. Teach me to live with a grateful heart.
