Small Acts, Big Impact

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)

A friend of mine recently told me he had just donated blood for the forty-eighth time. I laughed and asked, “Where do you keep finding all that blood?” He smiled and said he loved knowing that something so small for him could mean life for someone else. His joy wasn’t about recognition but quietly saving lives.

Generosity as Partnership

Think about it: somewhere there’s a child alive today because of a stranger’s blood. A mother has hope because her baby received what they desperately needed. My friend may never meet those people, but his sacrifice has made a real difference.

The writer of Hebrews reminds us not to forget to do good and to share, because such sacrifices bring pleasure to God. When we give of ourselves, whether it’s time, resources, or encouragement, we reflect God’s own generous nature. After all, He is the ultimate giver, the Creator who provides for us daily and who gave His Son for our salvation.

Small Acts, Big Impact

Doing good often costs us something. Moreover, every act of kindness becomes an offering that rises before God as pleasing worship. We don’t give just to make ourselves feel better. We give because in doing so, we partner with God to bring hope, joy, and relief into someone’s life.

When was the last time you made a sacrifice that pleased God? Maybe it was helping a struggling neighbor, sharing a meal, or listening to someone who needed a friend. The opportunities are all around us. Today, choose to do good and share generously. You will bless another person and please God in the process.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, remind me daily to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices You are well pleased.
