“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.” Proverbs 16:33 (NIV)
I remember standing in a long checkout line, feeling tired and ready to go home. The line barely moved, and frustration grew inside me. Another line looked faster, so I stepped over. Almost right away, that line moved forward. Relief washed over me. In that small moment, I noticed how life often feels like luck, even when something greater quietly guides the outcome.
God Cares About Every Detail
Today’s key text reminds me that God stays in control, even when I cannot see it. People in Bible times cast lots when they felt unsure about the next step. I face moments like that too. I wait for answers, make choices, and hope things turn out well. God sees every part of my situation. Nothing catches Him off guard.
I often want to control how things turn out. I want clear answers and quick results. Now I know that God wants me to slow down and trust Him instead. He works through simple choices and unexpected moments. When I remember that God leads my life, my heart feels lighter. Peace grows when I stop carrying everything on my own.
Trusting God With Every Choice
Each day brings choices, both big and small. I decide how I speak, how I act, and how I respond to others. At times, I worry about making mistakes. God reminds me that He walks with me. Trust does not mean I stop trying. Trust means I pray, choose wisely, and rely on God to guide my steps.
Today, let us trust God with our decisions. Let us talk to Him about what worries us and ask Him for wisdom before we act. May we take the next step with confidence, knowing God cares about every detail of our lives and leads us with love.
