No Permission Required

Daily Devotional – Monday, January 19, 2026
Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

When a powerful leader visits a city, excitement fills the air. People gather, phones raised, hoping for a brief moment of closeness. Security watches every movement, and access stays limited. Only a few get near, and even they move carefully. Power usually creates distance, reminding us that most doors remain closed.

Access Granted by Grace

Human authority often demands permission, protocol, and fear. Scripture gives a similar picture when Queen Esther approached the king’s throne. She risked her life and summoned deep courage. Even with royal favour, she stepped forward with uncertainty. Earthly power rarely invites confidence, and it never guarantees mercy.

God offers a different kind of throne. It carries ultimate authority and remains open to everyone. Jesus serves as our High Priest and understands real human struggles. He invites us to come boldly, not timidly. At this throne, mercy waits, and grace meets us exactly when life presses hardest.

No Permission Required

Jesus knows temptation because He faced it fully. He understands weakness without condemning it. He offers strength instead of shame and help instead of distance. Grace flows freely because He lived our experience and overcame sin. We never stand alone when we come to Him honestly and expectantly.

Today calls for courage rooted in trust. Guilt should never keep you away from Jesus. Grace grows stronger when you step forward. Choose to come, speak openly, and receive help. Walk away renewed and empowered. Run toward God with confidence and allow His mercy to reshape your story.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, I come boldly to Your throne today, trusting Your mercy and receiving Your grace for every need I face.
