The LORD has been mindful of us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great.
Psalms 115:12-13 (NKJV)
A child walks through a crowded place, holding a parent’s hand. The child may look around, curious and unsure, yet the parent never loses focus. The child’s every step is guided with care. The parent is always watching over the child, even when the child is unbothered.
When God Is Paying Attention
The one hundred and fifteenth psalm says that God thinks about His people. That means He sees, remembers, and cares. The people of Israel, the original audience of this psalm, found themselves surrounded by nations that worshipped idols incapable of seeing or assisting them. God is not like idols. He is real and sees everything.
The words “He will bless” are repeated to make the point clear. God’s care is not empty words. It results in tangible and intangible benefits. He blesses His people as a whole and also those who serve Him. This shows that His attention covers every part of life, not just one area.
The Kind of Care You May Not Notice
Then the promise becomes even deeper. It says that He will bless anyone who fears Him, no matter how big or small. This means that everyone who respects and trusts God is important to Him. God sees you, regardless of your worldly importance.
Keep this in mind every day: God sees you and cares about you. You can trust God and live in a way that honours Him. God knows you, and His blessing is real, even when you think no one else does.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, may I never forget that You see me, care for me, and lead me every day.
