Commit your works to the LORD and your thoughts will be established.
Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV)
A builder starts to build a house but doesn’t put down a proper foundation. At first, everything looks fine. The walls go up, and the building seems strong. Soon, though, cracks start to appear, and the whole thing becomes unsafe. The foundation, not the work done, was the issue. In the same way, when we move through life without involving God, things can start to feel unstable.
When Your Mind Feels All Over the Place
Solomon tells us to commit our work to the Lord. This means more than just saying we believe in Him. It means bringing our plans, decisions, and work to Him and trusting HiWe learn to stop and ask, “Lord, is this the right way?” instead of just relying on what we think is best.he right way?”
The Bible does not promise that everything will go exactly as we planned. Rather, God steadies our thinking. He helps us see clearly and keeps us from being pulled in every direction. Even when things do not go as expected, there is a quiet confidence that He is still in control and leading us forward.
When Effort Isn’t Enough
The wisdom in verse is applicable in everyday life. Before starting your day, making a decision, or even helping your family, talk to God about it. As you continue doing this, you begin to notice a difference. Your mind feels calmer, your choices become clearer, and your trust in Him grows stronger.
Take a moment today and bring your plans to God. Speak honestly with Him about what you are doing. Then move forward with trust, knowing He is guiding you. Placing your life in His hands will provide you with the clarity of mind necessary to navigate each day.
Prayer
Almighty God, help me to trust You with all my plans. Guide my thoughts as I follow You each day.
