Why You Don’t Have to Fight Alone

Daily Devotional – Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Psalms 108:13 (NKJV)

A woman in the neighbourhood ran a small food business that suddenly struggled after a long illness drained her savings. Bills began to pile up, customers became fewer, and every attempt to restart seemed to fail. One evening, weary and discouraged, she sat quietly and prayed, speaking to God in a simple and honest way. Not long after, a former customer reached out and connected her to a steady supply opportunity, and her business slowly began to recover.

Trusting God in Difficult Moments

Today’s guiding verse expresses a quiet confidence that comes from relying on God. The psalmist does not ignore effort, but he stresses that victory does not come from human strength alone. The words “through God” change the entire perspective. They remind us that God is not distant. He is present and involved, able to overcome what we cannot.

The experience of the woman who ran a food outlet reflects what many people face. There are moments when we do everything we know, yet nothing seems to move forward. We may come to the point she came to, where our strength is not enough. This verse calls us to bring God into that place, not as a last resort, but as an essential part of the journey.

Why You Don’t Have to Fight Alone

Her story is a reminder that God’s help often comes in unexpected ways. It may be immediate, but it’s real. When she prayed, things didn’t change overnight, but a way began to open. In a similar manner, God works steadily, often through people and opportunities we had not considered.

Today, take your situation to God with an open heart. Don’t carry your burden alone. Trust God with what you can’t fix and take your next step with confidence knowing that true victory comes when you walk with Him.

Prayer
Almighty God, help me trust You fully and depend on Your strength in every challenge I face.
