Daily Devotional – Monday, May 26, 2025
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Life can feel like a hectic race where distractions pull us in every direction. We often worry about our future, regrets about our past, or the noise of everyday challenges. Yet, the Bible gently invites us to focus on one person: Jesus.
The Author and Finisher
Jesus is the one who started our journey of faith long before we even realized it. He is the one who first reached out to us with love, opened our eyes to His truth, and set our hearts on fire with hope. Simply put, He is the very source of our faith.
Jesus will also leads us to our destination. Think of Him as the devoted guide who walks every step with us. When we grow tired or stumble, He is there to steady us, to lift us up, and to lead us forward. His promise is that He will complete the wonderful work He has begun in us.
Looking Unto Jesus
Jesus endured incredible pain and humiliation because He saw what lay ahead—a future filled with joy and hope not just for Himself, but for all of us. His eyes were fixed not on the suffering but on the amazing redemption to come.
Looking unto Jesus means intentionally turning away from the clutter around us and keeping our focus on Him. What worries or distractions can you set aside today so you can refocus on the comforting presence of Jesus?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for beginning my faith journey and for walking alongside me through every trial. Help me to set aside distractions and keep my eyes fixed on You.
