A Reason to Trust in God Always

Daily Devotional—Wednesday, February 12, 2025
Trust in Him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us.
Psalms 62:8 (NKJV)

Our time on this planet is frequently interspersed with hardships, setbacks, and anxiety. Our key text, however, urges us to always rely on God all the time. He is a lasting source of security, fortitude, and tranquility rather than only a makeshift haven.

God is our Refuge

God does not ask us to repress our feelings or be tough on our own. Rather, He calls us to open our hearts to Him. This entails sharing with Him our anxieties, suffering, uncertainties, and even our most intense desires. He not only wants to listen, but He is eager to do so.

In spite of all of the difficulties in his life—betrayal, resistance, and adversity—David found his safety only in God. His example shows us that we may turn to the Almighty God and know that He will provide for us no matter what.

A Reason to Trust in God Always

Where do you go when life’s storms are at their worst? Some turn to relationships, success, or even diversionary activities like social media or entertainment. However, real security can never be achieved with these things. The only unfailing sanctuary is God. He is the only one who can give our spirits rest, safety, and peace that lasts.

In what aspects of your life do you find it difficult to put your complete trust in God? How do you develop the habit of praying to the Lord with all of your heart? How has God been a haven for you throughout your life? Trust in God always, for He is your immovable refuge.

Prayer
Almighty God, help me to trust You all the time, to express my pain to You without fear, and to make You my refuge.
