Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
Amos 3:3 (NIV)
Whenever I am walking and I see a friend ahead of me, I hasten my steps to walk alongside him or her. The journey is more enjoyable and worthwhile next to a person whose interests I share.
I can relate with the question, “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so? (Amos 3:3). This leads me to ask uncomfortable questions about my walk with God.
Can I keep the company of ungodly people if I don’t share their interests? It is possible to live among smokers and drug addicts and abstain from these vices? For how long can one remain sober if he visit bars daily?
What Fellowship Can Light Have With Darkness?
Can we live together with people whose moral principles are different from ours? Can a foul-mouthed individual be close friends with a person whose tongue is controlled by the Holy Spirit?
“For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? … Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6:14-15).
When we choose to walk with Jesus we simultaneously reject Satan, There is no middle ground. Sin and righteousness are mutually exclusive.
Asking Uncomfortable Questions About Our Walk With God
an you walk with Jesus unless you have agreed to trust and obey Him? Is it logical to profess to follow Jesus yet entertain evil thoughts, use abusive language and engage in sinful acts?
Prayer
Almighty Father, I have chosen to walk with you. Please bring me back to You when I veer off the path of righteousness?
May Almighty God,Enable Us to walk His ways Always..🙏
He will. He hears our prayers.
