Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
John 16:23 (NKJV)
A poor widow visits a public office. A powerful individual grabbed her land some years back. Her file is missing. A stranger asks her, “Do you know anybody in authority?” Unfortunately, she does not. She is likely not to get justice.
On a positive note, though, there is someone you need to know for heaven’s doors to open. Jesus Christ says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.” John 16:23 (NKJV).
Have you ever been sent by a person in authority to another office, and told, “Go and say so-and-so sent you?” How fast did the doors open? You were served with respect because of the name that was backing you.
Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, is the only name you need to mention for the goodies of heaven to be opened to you.
However, realize that asking anything in Jesus’ name means asking according to His will. Ensure what you are asking for will glorify God. The Father will also only grant prayers that benefit His children.
Note the word ‘whatever’. It means your prayer requests are not limited. Because of the love God has for His Son, any prayer offered in Jesus’ name will be answered.
Today, take this challenge from Jesus: “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24 (NKJV). Get busy. Start using heaven’s recommended prayer method.
Lord Jesus, thank you because through your Name, I have access to the blessings of heaven.
Thanks for this insight Sir,,it is true God requires us to ask Him whatever we are in need of as His Children. In Mathew 7:7 and also in James 4:3,,He is reminding us to Ask Him…May God teach us His Will Always to follow Him🙏
