But encourage one another daily.
Hebrews 3:13 (NKJV)
In recent years, I have started losing interest in prime-time news, except for the most critical information. It has to do with the negativity in what we consider news. News essentially means the latest updates on crime, murder, injustice, impunity, poverty, and suffering in general.
Exhort One Another Every Day
First-century Christians may have lived in a different era from ours, but they had their fair share of bad news. The Jewish leaders and the Roman Empire were keen to wipe out followers of Christ from the face of the earth. Numerous Christians were martyred, while others lived in hiding. Many were forced to leave their ancestral homes to find peace and safety elsewhere.
It is to these believers that the Apostle Paul wrote, “But encourage one another daily.” (Hebrews 3:13). Faced with persecution, these believers risked abandoning the faith. The temptation to participate in the sinful practices of the society of their day was also strong. By reaching out and cheering up one another, they could remain steadfast and united.
Encourage One Another Daily
Our situation is not different. The cruelty, despondency, hardship, and injustice among us can make us lose hope in Christ, especially if we face our problems alone. However, when we interact daily and pray with fellow believers who are facing the same challenges and triumphing, we will gain the courage to continue with the journey.
Practice talking to and with other believers and people who are going through tough times. Visit the sick and bereaved and pray with them. If you can afford it, buy food for the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit those in prison. Your testimony of God’s faithfulness can uplift a soul that is giving up. Let us encourage one another daily.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me how to minister encouragement in a world where there is untold sorrow and suffering.

So timely, as we start a new week. What a drive to start motivated. “I can do It”
Encouragement is something we all need to keep us motivated, loved, and feeling confident in ourselves and what we do. It’s something that is important for our mental and overall health and it truly can give us just the same amount of joy to give it to others as it is to receive it.
Just as the wise man said .
“As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend”
Proverbs 27:17
