Finding Our Way Back Home

Daily Devotional – Monday, April 28, 2025
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
John 1:12 (NKJV)

From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to be close to us, and to have a real, loving relationship with His creation. However, sin pulled us away. We wandered and lost our way. Yet God, in His unstoppable love, did not give up on us. He made a way back to Him through Jesus.

Children of God

Today’s key text reminds us that coming to God is not complicated. It is not about how perfect we are, where we come from, or what we can achieve. It all comes down to one powerful decision: to welcome Jesus into our hearts and trust Him with our lives.

Receiving Jesus means opening the door to Him, letting Him lead us. Believing in His name means resting fully in who He is: our Savior, our Redeemer, the Son of God. When we receive and believe, we are given the right to be His children.

Finding Our Way Back Home

We are not outsiders, not servants standing at a distance. We are sons and daughters, part of His family, wrapped in His love, guided by His hand, covered by His protection, and promised eternal life.

Maybe today you feel invisible, lost, or like you don’t fit anywhere. If so, remember you have a home in Christ. Your identity is not shaped by your mistakes, your past, or the labels others have put on you. You are who God says you are—and He says you are His.

Prayer
God, thank You for calling me Your child. Thank You for loving me so much that You made a way for me to come back home through Christ.
