And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet.
Deuteronomy 29:5 (NKJV)
A miracle, according to many people, is a spectacular event with an immediate transforming impact. Further, miracles cannot happen every day. Did you know, though, that the Israelites experienced forty years of daily miracles in the wilderness, leaving us powerful lessons of God’s providence for daily life?
I Have Led You Forty Years
Moses once reminded these wayward people, “And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or similar drink, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.” (Deuteronomy 29:5-6).
God ensured that His people did not need a wardrobe change, tailors and cobblers. They incurred no cost buying food because God provided them with the angels’ food. He supplied them with pure water from rocks. Every day was filled with evidence of God’s presence and providence.
Forty Years of Plenty in the Desert
None of the Israelites built a permanent home in the wilderness. There were no mansions or shopping malls there. They had no farms or large livestock ranches. No family or individual had an advantage over the other. All depended on God for their daily needs. He never failed to provide.
We live in a world where the pursuit of riches and luxuries is the priority for many. While some people worry about their safety and the security of their wealth, others fret over lack of food, shelter and clothing. We have forgotten about the God who can perform miracles every day of our lives.
Forty Years of Daily Miracles
In the wilderness, God deliberately and conveniently placed the Tabernacle in the midst of the Israelites. It was a reminder that He dwelt with them (Exodus 25:8). In Him, they would lack no good thing. We, too, can trust Immanuel to supply all our need according to His abundant riches.
You may not have everything you need but every day is a miracle from God. Life, health, family, friends, fellow believers, workmates, schoolmates and neighbours are miracles you experience every day. How many years of miracles have your enjoyed so far? Give glory to God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for your unfailing daily miracles. With You, I have all I need to live productively and happily.

Amen, Pastor.
Amen! In providence to the Israelites God preserves and governs his people so that they will accomplish all He made them to accomplish.
I think this is the reason God provided su much security to the Israelites, food security, divine protection and care
. just so that He can keep His promise to them. He shall bring the to the land He promised Abraham.
With God,we have no want, He always care and provides for us.
Wee-said, Doc. God bless you.
