Daily Devotional – Monday, June 28, 2021
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)
“Here is my business card,” said the man Sophie met in church. “Come to the city next Monday, and look for me at that address.” That is how Sophie got her dream job. Someone had gone ahead of her, clearing the path.
God had a similar message to the Israelites, through Moses, in Deuteronomy 31-1-8. “The LORD your God Himself crosses over before you; He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them” (v.3).
Just as the CEO Sophie met assured her he would be waiting in the city, God guaranteed His children He would go ahead of them to the promised land. He would subdue their enemies. The former slaves would find houses and vineyards ready to occupy (Joshua 24:13).
God further encouraged them, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you” (vs. 6).
This promise is yours, too. God will go before you and be with you today. Believe that God has already mapped out this day for you. Have faith that whatever you need will be ready at the right time.
Will you believe God’s message and face this day with courage? Or, will you succumb to fear and anxiety and ruin the day?
Father, thank you for going and ahead of me and with me today. I am following you wherever you will lead me.6
Amen.,,i am encouraged knowing my God has prepared a way for me.
