If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Psalms 11:3 (NKJV)

What are the consequences of the erosion of the principles of justice, righteousness, and truth all around us? During periods of moral decline, social unrest, or personal hardships, it may seem as though the earth is trembling beneath us. What should we do when such situations arise?

What Can the Righteous Do?

Our foundation is anchored in God. He is still in control even when it seems like the world is in turmoil. He supports the righteous, sees everything, and knows everything. God’s Word and His promises will always stand the test of time, even though earthly foundations may crumble.

Jesus is our unshakable rock and foundation. Only in Him do we have the kind of stability that gives us confidence in this life and assurance of the life to come. Those who trust in God, read His word, and obey Him will have impregnable foundations.

If the Foundations are Destroyed…

You will remain unmoved if your life is anchored in God’s word. Thankfully, the Lord is in control even when everything around you seems to be in disarray. From His celestial throne, He rules. Hence, you can keep your faith strong while the rest of the world falters.

Is your life built on the word of God? Is your foundation intact, or does it lie in ruins? Are there areas in your life that need to undergo spiritual renovations? Create time every day for reading the Bible and praying. More importantly, commit to obeying the voice of God.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, in a world where the foundations of righteousness appear to be eroding, I choose to rely on You. Create in me a deep desire to read and live by Your Word.
