In the Fullness of Time

Daily Devotional – December 26, 2023
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law.
Galatians 4:4 (NKJV)

Have you even been late for a job interview because of a traffic jam, but you got the job? Do you know people who appear to delay marrying or getting children, especially for reasons beyond their control, but once they accomplish that goal, they do not regret having waited for so long?

When the Right Time Had Come

Sometimes, however much we want to be punctual, we end up disappointed and frustrated. Apparently, we are not fully in charge of time. Our finite minds cannot understand what goes on behind the scenes, yet we want everything to happen according to our preferred timelines.

Who, then, controls time? According to the Apostle Paul, “when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law.” (Galatians 4:4). The birth of Jesus was not an accident or an afterthought but a well-planned and perfectly-timed event.

In the Fullness of Time

Consequently, as you rejoice in the spirit of Christmas, remember that it is God who controls time. If you allow Him to take over your life, you will enjoy peace knowing that even when He appears to delay, He is still on time. When you trust Him fully, you will be patient because you know God has your best interests at heart and He knows exactly when to answer your prayers.

In the fullness of time, God will remember you. None of your prayers go unheard. Your delayed plans and dreams are not delayed on His side. One of the reasons many of your petitions are unfulfilled is because it is not yet God’s time. Learn to trust God’s timing.

Prayer
Dear God, help me to wait patiently until the fullness of time for You to answer my prayers.

Thanks for the good message

Charles

Amen! True, God’s timing is the best. While patiently waiting we should learn to trust in God.
And rest is in His sure promise that when the time is right,He will make it happen. “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen. Isaiah 60:22.”
