Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation. On You I wait all the day.
Psalms 25:5 (NKJV)
We frequently encounter choices, difficulties, and temptations in life that might impair our judgment and cause emotional distress. When David prays, “Lead me in Your truth,” he is asking for a deep comprehension of God’s will and a way that is consistent with sacred truth, not merely information.
Guide Me, Lord
Think back to the areas in your life that require guidance. Do you feel uncertain about any decisions or situations? Give those issues some thought and prayerfully ask God to guide you. Ask Him to show you the way and to guide you in His truth.
In addition, a humble heart eager to learn is demonstrated by the desire to “teach me.” Consider how open you are to receiving instruction from God via His Word, prayer, and the sage advice of other believers. Is there anything He could be teaching you at this moment?
Lead Me in Your Truth
David’s statement, “On You I wait all day,” demonstrates unshakeable faith. Think about the places you have put your faith. Is it in God, the people, or the circumstances? Recognize God as your only hope and place your trust in Him once more.
Keep in mind that God is your hope and your guide as you go about your day. In times of doubt, turn to Him, and ask Him to lead you to His truth. Further, and accept the lessons He is imparting to you. He is with you every step of the way, so let His hope and direction be a source of comfort and strength.
Prayer
Almighty God, lead me in Your truth and teach me, for on You I wait all the day.
