In Your presence is fullness of joy
Psalms 16:11 (NKJV)
One of the recurring themes in the Bible is that of God presence in human life. We see it in Eden where God dwelt and interacted closely with Adam and Eve before they sinned. In His mercy, God made for them garments of skin, signifying the future sacrificial death of Jesus for humanity’s salvation.
Existing Among Men
In addition, when the Israelites were in the wilderness, God told Moses, “And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8). The tabernacle in the wilderness signified God’s desire to live among His most precious possession – human beings.
Millennia later, the Creator adopted the human body and came to live among the children of Adam. They called Him Immanuel, which means, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23). For about thirty-three years, He experienced human life and interacted normally with the people He sought to save.
Abiding with Man Forever
Before He ascended to heaven, Immanuel promised His followers, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth…” (John 14:16-17). He was referring to God the Holy Spirit.
Soon, Jesus will return to take His faithful home. John the Revelator got a glimpse of the earth created anew and heard a voice proclaim, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” (Revelation 21:3).
In Your Presence Is Fullness of Joy
There is no better experience than to be in God’s presence because He delights in dwelling with His children. The Psalmist aptly describes one of the benefits of coexisting with God aptly when he says, “In Your presence is fullness of joy.” (Psalms 16:11).
Moreover, when we are in the presence of God we will not fear because He is with us. God, through Prophet Isaiah, states, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are Mine.” (Isaiah 43:1).
If Your Presence Does Not Go With Us
Further, when God dwells in us through His word, we will not offend Him. Our resolve will be like that of David, “Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You.” (Psalms 119:11).
Finally, when we value the Presence of God, we will be reluctant to take any action or embark on any project that He has not approved. Like Moses, we will tell God, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” (Exodus 33:15).
Living in the Presence of God
Review your life now. Can you say you are in the Presence of God? Does He control your thoughts, words and actions? How differently would your life and behaviour be if you always believed that God is with you everywhere and any time? Remember, God wants to be with you always.

Thank You, Father, because Your presence in with me always. I will rejoice, live with courage, obey You and prioritize You always.

i admire the relationship David had with God…I crave and Pray for the same.
David understood the meaning of staying close to God,He says elsewhere “Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.
Faced often with seemingly insurmountable circumstances he still sought God’s presence as his help.
Some preacher ,Oswald Chambers wrote: “It is not God’s promises we need, it is God Himself and His presence “.
May i dwell in the presence of God all the days of my life, till we join Him to be with Him in our eternal home.
