O Privilege of Being Served by God’s Angels!

Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
Genesis 28:12 (NKJV)

“I am XYZ, at your service.” If a person introduces himself that way, expect him to help you by all means necessary. Did you know that is what an angel is likely to tell you if you had a tête-à-tête?

The writer of Hebrews describes angels as “… ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). See? Angels are at your service, child of God!

The Angels of God Were Ascending and Descending

Jacob learned this when he spent a lonely night with a stone for a pillow. We read, “Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.” (Genesis 28:12).

The word ‘ladder’ in this context is best understood as a stairway. Now picture angels carrying God’s messages and provisions down to us then returning to heaven with our gratitude and petitions.

Ministering Spirits

Indeed, you have a guardian angel watching over you every second (Psalm 34:7). If God were to open your spiritual eyes, you would marvel at the numerous times when God’s messenger has saved you from danger and death.

God has placed angels at your service because He wants you live well on earth and eventually inherit eternal life. As you enjoy this top-notch heavenly service, what kind of report does your guardian angel deliver to God daily?
