My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
Everyone else had left the office. Darkness was approaching. I was angry with myself for not completing 75% of scheduled tasks.
A knock on the door startled me. It was a colleague from another department. He wanted me to sign an important document.
“I’ve spent a whole day running errands,” he mumbled. “I have been busy with completely different issues from the ones I should have done.” We were sailing in the same boat.
I found myself motivating my discouraged friend. “Don’t worry. You did what you could. Blaming yourself won’t help. God knows why that had to happen. Go, rest. Tomorrow is another opportunity to get it right.”
I instantly knew that was not me speaking. It was God. He was telling my friend and me what He told Paul. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV).
We were worried of our weaknesses, but God was encouraging us. He understood our struggles. His grace was enough for that day. That is what mattered.
God does not take away all our trials. He allows us to go through difficult days, insults, ridicule and abuse to make us stronger individuals. Meanwhile, He gives us His abundant grace to carry us through the rough times.
Today, if you feel like giving up because your family, marriage, relationship, workplace or church are not the way you prefer, ask God for more of His grace. Tough times do not last. Tough people do – when they rely on God’s grace.
Father, give me more grace to face the challenges in my path today.
I need more of this Grace. Challenges are many but I know that God will deliver us from all of them.
Shalom Shalom Shalom
Amen, Pastor.
His grace is sufficient ,,what more can we wish for ,,
Nothing more, Brian. Amen.
