The Blessing of the Lord

The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV)

Have you ever chased after something, maybe a better job, more money, or recognition, only to get it and still feel… empty? That’s something many of us have experienced. The world promises that success will satisfy us, but so often, it doesn’t. Our key text reminds us that real richness comes from God, and when He gives it, it comes without the baggage.

No Sorrow with It

God’s blessings might include financial provision, but they go way beyond that. They include peace of mind, a loving family, good health, and a content heart. These are the kinds of riches no paycheck can buy. And best of all, when God is the one doing the blessing, He doesn’t load it down with stress, guilt, or regret. It is pure and good, and it brings joy, not pressure.

That doesn’t mean life will always be easy, but it does mean that when we let God lead, when we trust Him with our goals and needs, He gives in ways that truly fill us up. His blessings don’t burn us out. Rather, they build us up.

Prayer
Almighty God, thank You for the blessings You have already given me, especially the ones I can’t see or touch. Help me to remember that true wealth comes from You, not just from hard work or hustle. Teach me to rest in what You provide and to trust that Your way is always better.
