The Look That Never Leaves You

Daily Devotional – Tuesday, October 28, 202
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.
Psalm 33:18 (NIV)

A mother was watching her little boy play in a park. He ran, climbed, and shouted with joy, but every few minutes he looked back just to see if she was still watching. And she was. No matter who she talked to or what was happening around her, her eyes never left him. That is what love does. It stays alert, present, and unshakable.

The Eyes That Never Look Away

That image reminds me of how God watches over us. Our key text tells us that the Lord’s eyes are on those who honor Him and put their hope in His love. His gaze is not cold or distant. It is full of warmth and care. Even when we feel overlooked by people or overwhelmed by life, God never loses sight of us. His attention doesn’t wander.

To fear the Lord doesn’t mean to be afraid of Him. It means to respect and trust Him deeply. When we place our hope in His love, we are saying, “God, I believe You’ve got me covered even when I can’t see how.”

The Look That Never Leaves You

Sometimes we wonder if He is still watching, especially when things don’t go our way. Nevertheless, even in silence, His eyes are on us. He sees every tear, every prayer, and every act of faith.

Prayer
Loving Father, thank You for never taking Your eyes off me. When I feel unseen or uncertain, remind me that You are watching with love and care. Help me to trust Your unfailing love and rest in the comfort of Your presence.
