Daily Devotional – Wednesday, February 4, 2026
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:4 (NIV)
A father sat in the hospital waiting room while doctors checked on his child after an accident. He looked at his phone over and over, hoping for good news. He was scared and didn’t know what to do next. He finally put his head down and prayed while crying. His heart rate slowed down as he prayed, and he felt calmed before he even heard any news.
The Moment Fear Met Prayer
David talks about how he turned to God when he was scared. David didn’t act like he was strong. There was help from the Lord when he asked for it. God hears us when we pray, and He worries about our fears, no matter how little or great they seem to us.
People worry about their health, money, school, jobs, and family issues. For kids, it’s scary to not fit in or be safe. Adults worry about taking care of their families and picking the right things. Fear can make us feel alone and unsure. When we seek the Lord, we have to be honest with Him and trust Him with the things that scare us.
The Prayer That Changed Everything
We can pray while walking, driving, or just sitting at home. We can read Bible stories to remember what God has promised. Worship songs can help us put our attention on God instead of our problems. Talking to other Christians reminds us that God is with us in hard times.
Today, seek the Lord, and let His peace fill your home and heart.
Prayer
Lord, help me know that You are always with me and bring my fears to You.
