But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.
2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV)
A farmer wakes before sunrise every day and walks into his field. He pulls weeds, checks the soil, and waters what he can. Some days show no change. The ground looks the same. Still, he returns the next morning. He trusts that hidden growth takes place even when he sees nothing. His steady effort prepares the moment when green shoots finally appear.
The Courage to Continue
The message in the key text was delivered to King Asa and the people of Judah through the prophet Azariah during a time of spiritual decline and uncertainty. They had faced conflict and hardship. They needed reassurance that following God remained worthwhile. God called them to remain strong and to continue doing what was right. He wanted them to know that their faithfulness carried purpose and would not end in disappointment.
Life presents similar moments. You may pray and see no immediate answer. You may serve and feel unnoticed. You may try to stay faithful and grow tired. God sees every effort. He values every act of obedience. He works beyond what your eyes can see. He strengthens those who choose to remain faithful in difficult seasons.
The Reward You Cannot Yet See
Strength grows when you focus on God’s faithfulness instead of your feelings. He never abandons His people. He completes the work He begins. Your role involves trusting Him and continuing forward. Each step of obedience builds spiritual endurance and deepens your faith.
Make the decision to stay strong today. Refuse to give up on what God has called you to do. Continue trusting Him even when progress feels slow. He sees your faithfulness and promises reward in His perfect time.
Prayer
Lord, help me remain strong and faithful. Give me courage to continue trusting You, knowing that You see my efforts and will reward faithfulness.
