The Secret of Victory

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)

There are days when worry, temptation, fear, and disappointment seem to come at us all at once. Paul encouraged the believers in Ephesus who faced such situations with a simple but powerful reminder: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

Be Strong in the Lord

Paul wasn’t telling them to toughen up or push through on their own. He was pointing them to a strength far greater than anything they could muster: God’s strength. Unlike ours, His strength never runs out. It is always available to those who reach for it.

The beauty of faith is that we don’t have to power through on our own. God invites us to lean on Him. To be strong in Him. That means soaking in His Word, spending time with Him in prayer, and choosing to trust Him even when things don’t make sense.

The Secret of Victory

This verse leads into Paul’s famous passage about the armor of God. Before we can put on any armor, though, we have to know where our strength truly comes from. Every piece of that armor works only because it’s backed by God’s power, and not ours.

So today, take a breath. You know your secret of victory. Stand not on shaky self-reliance, but in the firm, steady strength of the One who loves you deeply and holds everything in His hands.

Prayer
God, thank You for being my source of strength. Teach me how to draw strength from You. Help me lean on You when I feel weak, and remind me that I don’t have to face anything alone. I choose to trust Your strength today.
