The Source of Holistic Healing

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed. Save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14 (NKJV)

The prophet Jeremiah begs God for salvation and healing in today’s key text. He understands that the only one who can heal his wounds and make him whole is the Lord. The profound, universal need for God’s healing touch in our lives—both physically and spiritually—is the subject of this passage.

Heal Me, Lord

Jeremiah’s declaration acknowledges God’s authority and strength in addition to making a request. By declaring, “I shall be saved,” and “I shall be healed,” he expresses faith in God’s capacity to change his circumstances without hesitation or skepticism.

This text calls us to trust God, surrender our lives to Him, and get into a saving connection with Him. It urges us to confess that no one else can cure or save us, just as Jeremiah did when he admitted his reliance on God.

The Source of Holistic Healing

Jeremiah admits that he needs God’s hand in his thoughts, attitudes, and emotions. Only God is able to heal the wounds, regrets, or failures we may bear from the past. We occasionally bear spiritual illnesses, anxieties, and resentments, whose cure is only found in the Great Physician.

In the New Testament, Jesus describes healing as holistic regeneration of the entire person, not simply the physical repair. Jesus identifies the illness of our souls and provides the remedy—His grace, love, and forgiveness—much like a doctor does for bodily ailments. Today, call on God, the source of holistic healing, and receive your miracle.

Almighty God, thank You because in You I get wholesome healing. Come and do in me what only You, the Great Physician, can do.
