Trusting God Through the Seasons

Daily Devotional – Saturday, November 30, 2024
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22 (NKJV)

God told Noah and his family that life would go on according to its own rhythms as they stepped out of the ark following the deluge. There would continue to be seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer” seasons. Essentially, God is in charge and will always be faithful to His people.

The Seasons Will Remain

The seasons’ constancy illustrates how dependable God’s nature is. The presence of God in our life is steady and dependable, much like the seasons. Even though we may not fully see or comprehend it, we can trust that He is working throughout the year.
.
Seasons frequently characterize life. There are periods of plenty and famine, joy and sorrow, times of growth and waiting. We go through distinct seasons, just like the world. Nevertheless, God remains dependable with every change and is present during every stage of life.

Trusting God Through the Seasons

God tells us that nothing endures forever when we are going through uncertain or difficult circumstances. His faithfulness is constant and unalterable, regardless of our circumstances. He promises to be with us at every stage of our journey, in the same way as He pledges to maintain the earth’s seasons.

Believer, have hope because God is at work even during terrible times. His objectives will be fulfilled, and His timing is ideal. Keep in mind that God is dependable no matter what season you’re in—the heat of adversity or the chill of waiting. Both the planet and you are being sustained by Him.

Prayer
Almighty God, help me to trust in You in all seasons, especially when I am going through uncertainty or trouble.
