Trusting Heaven’s Clock

Daily Devotional – Thursday, October 30, 2025
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law.
Galatians 4:4 (NIV)

Have you ever been late for something important, like a job interview, because of heavy traffic, yet still ended up getting the job? Or maybe you know someone who seemed to delay in getting married or having children for reasons beyond their control, but when it finally happened, the timing turned out perfect. Those experiences remind us that even when we feel behind schedule, life often unfolds exactly as it should.

When Delay is Divine

We all have moments when we want things to happen right away. We plan carefully, pray earnestly, and do everything right, yet our expectations are delayed. Waiting can be frustrating because we like to feel in control. The truth, however, is that we are not. Time is not ours to command. Our limited understanding cannot grasp all that God is working out behind the scenes.

Paul reminds us that “when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son.” The birth of Jesus was not a coincidence. It was a perfectly orchestrated moment that fulfilled every promise God had made. Nothing happened too soon or too late. Everything unfolded exactly on schedule.

Trusting Heaven’s Clock

This truth reminds us that God’s timing in our lives is just as perfect. When things seem delayed, He is still working. When answers take long, He is aligning everything for His purpose. Delays do not mean denial. They often prepare us for something greater.

So, as you wait, hold on to hope. In the fullness of time, God will come through. He never forgets His promises and never fails to act right on time.

Prayer
Lord, help me to trust Your perfect timing. Give me patience as I wait for Your appointed time.
