What Goes Around…

What goes around comes around. Mark was a mischievous tout at the local bus stop. Here, he made a name for himself as a tormentor of people with disabilities. He would approach the poor person from behind, grab the individual’s crutches by force, and laugh at the helpless victim, now sprawling on the ground. People were appalled at Marks’ lack of sympathy for incapacitated people.

Your Reap the Evil You Sow

Ironically, Mark is today living with a physical disability. Actually, he uses crutches to move around, having survived a car accident. After tormenting and laughing at people with disabilities, Mark is now struggling to walk. I believe he is embarrassed when he meets those he used to upset.

Life has a way of giving us back what we give out. As King Solomon observed, “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.” (Proverbs 26:27). The evil we plan and execute against others will sooner or later catch up with us. The traps we set for the downfall of others will be our undoing.

What Goes Round…

Whatever we do to others, whether good or evil, is a seed we are sowing. In due course, we will reap the rightful harvest, for this is the infallible law of planting and harvesting. What goes around comes around. “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all.” (Galatians 6:10).

Heavenly Father, help me to sow good wherever I am so that I may reap good in due course.
