When God is in Control

Daily Devotional – Friday, December 20, 2024
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done,
saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure
.”
Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV)

Our core text reminds us that God is in control of history and time. Nothing surprises Him since He has a comprehensive view of what has been, what is, and what is to come. His goals are timeless, unalterable, and unassailable. God’s purposes cannot be thwarted under any circumstances.

My Counsel Will Stand

Our lives are full of twists and turns. We frequently find ourselves in a state of uncertainty, unsure of what the future holds or how we will respond to it. Although life’s many turns can leave us feeling overwhelmed, this verse exhorts us to have faith in God’s flawless plan.

Time does not limit God. Even though He observes everything from outside of it, He is deeply involved in every aspect of our existence. Regardless of how hectic or unclear the world appears to be, His plan for us will remain intact. He is immune to human frailty, change, and failure.

When God is in Control

Know that God’s plan is already underway, regardless of the difficulties you are currently enduring. He hasn’t left you to turmoil or chance. Your life will fulfill His purposes; He is at work.

Remember that God controls everything when you’re worried about the future. He has witnessed both the start and the finish. He is by your side the entire time, and His purpose will endure. When God is in control, you have nothing to worry about.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, grant me more faith in You, the ability to let go of my anxieties, and the ability to relax knowing that You are in charge.
