But the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.
Judges 16:22 (NKJV)
Samson is arguably the strongest man that ever lived on earth. He was a nazirite, set aside from birth to serve the Lord. On his head was to come no blade, and alcohol was an abomination to him. This renowned warrior and judge was Israel’s answer to the neighbouring hostile Philistines.
Revive Us Again
Samson’s achievements, though, were overshadowed by his character flows. While he judged Israel and fought against the nation enemies, he was also an arrogant, obstinate and promiscuous man, who would have done much better as a leader had he controlled his passions and emotions.
Indeed, instead his life ending in peace, he spent his last moments as an object of ridicule and entertainment for the Philistines. However, it was in Samson’s most trying days that God allowed a miracle to happen, one that ensured Samson exited the stage significantly and triumphantly.
The Hair of His Head Began to Grow Again
Without sight, bound with bronze shackles and deployed to grind at the mill in the prison and Gaza, Samson began to experience a miracle. The Bible records, “But the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.” (Judges 16:22). This was the clearest indication that God had given his wayward servant another opportunity to right his wrongs.
The restoration of Samson’s hair and strength demonstrated that God is patient and persevering with His erring children. Irrespective of how far away we have wandered, God is willing to accept us back. In the eyes of the world and our brethren, we may appear to have reached a point of no return but God can make our spiritual hair grow again, as it were.
When Hair Grows Again
Have you wandered away from God and you are wondering whether He will accept you back? Come back home for your hair is growing again. Do you know a person who was once in Christ but walked back to the devil’s camp? Pray that their spiritual hair will grow again, that they may become victors another time.

Heavenly Father, make my spiritual hair grow again.

Indeed our God is a God of Second Chances..Like Samson we may loose that which God gave us,his gifts, strength and even waste His grace..but He restores that which sin has broken,He brings to strength that which sin had weaken,He causes to grow again our hair that was lost because of sin.
Our God is a God of restoration.
