He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Romans 8:32 (NIV)
The Cambridge Dictionary, defines the word ‘guarantee’ as “something valuable that you give to someone temporarily while you do what you promised to do for them…”
The term also means, “A pledge given that a promise will be fulfilled; a deposit or down payment making fulfilment obligatory” (Biblegateway.com).
The Apostle Paul, observes that God has given us the most substantial guarantee that He will answer our prayers by giving us the gift of His Son Jesus Christ.
When man fell into sin, God did not send an angel to die for us. He sent His only begotten Son to save humanity from the curse of sin.
Now, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things.” (Roman 8:32). Note it is not a few, but all things.
What spiritual challenge are you struggling with? Is your financial situation getting out of hand? Are you giving up on getting a job? Do you doubt that you will finish your studies?
Is your marriage facing storms? Are your children getting out of control? Are you giving up one ever recovering from an illness? Are you struggling with an addiction?
Take heart. If the Father gave us His Son, then, jobs, money, health and other needs, can and will be given to you according to God’s will. Christ’s death is your best guarantee that God will answer your prayers.
Father, thank you because there is nothing You will deny me if I ask according to Your will.
The biggest and precious gift one can give to someone for love is a child. Not everybody knows how to love genuinely but God has shown us.
I appreciate for every day reminding me read the Bible.
