By faith, the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.
Hebrews 11:31 (NKJV)
Rahab’s story is one of the most profound demonstrations of grace and faith in the Bible. She was a Canaanite woman who worked as a prostitute and lived in Jericho. Rahab’s deeds demonstrated that God saves her by grace through faith, despite her upbringing and the culture to which she belonged.
By Grace Through Faith
Rahab saw that Israel was under God’s influence when the Israelite spies arrived in Jericho. She pretended that the Lord had handed the territory to Israel, hiding the spies on her roof and lying to the king’s men about their whereabouts (Read Joshua 2:11).
Rahab’s trust is lauded in Hebrews 11:31. Her faith determined her future, despite her history. This serves as a potent reminder that God does not base our worth or destiny on our history. For everyone who believes and puts their trust in God, grace is available.
Rahab: A Demonstration of Grace and Faith
Rahab was an undeserving person, yet she showed her faith in God by acting on her faith. This tells us that genuine faith is always demonstrated through deeds that show our faith in God. Rahab eventually becaame an ancestor of Jesus.
Rahab’s tale serves as a source of inspiration and hope. It tells us that everyone is able to receive God’s grace and that faith may alter history if it is combined with deeds. As we journey through our personal faith, let us cling to this reality, believing that God can and will utilize us for His divine purposes.

I love happy endings. Rahab’s story story is one that teaches us that
With God, it isn’t who you were that
matters; it’s who you are becoming. Rahab’s courageous act earned
her a spot in the Hebrews honor roll of the faithful one.
Rahab, the harlot, the defiled, the muddy sinful prostitute.
Indeed, because of Grace we all can say ” we are not who we used to be, and the difference is the grace of God. “
Amen, Elder. God bless you.
Rahab acknowledges the Israelites’ God, Yahweh, as supreme, ruling “in heaven above and on earth beneath” (Joshua 2:11). This demonstrates her faith in a God different from the Cananite deities. And we too can exercise the same faith through grace by our doing good work. Amen
Amen, Paul. Blessings on you.
Amen
