Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
Psalms 139:7 (NKJV)

It’s simple to feel disengaged and alone among the everyday craziness. We frequently find ourselves mired in our daily routines, overcome by our obligations, and engulfed in worry. However, a significant fact that has the power to alter our viewpoint is that God is always present.

Where Can I Flee From Your Presence?

David skillfully conveys God’s omnipresence in Psalm 139. He admits that God is always present wherever he goes. God’s presence is an ever-present, unfailing reality, whether in the peaks of happiness or the valleys of sorrow, in moments of victory or hardship.

This knowledge is reassuring and empowering at the same time. It implies that we’re never really by ourselves. God is with us even in our most alone moments. His presence is all around us during our moments of terror. His hand leads us through our uncertain seasons. In our homes, offices, peaceful times, and busiest days, God is always present.

Always at Your Side

Developing an awareness of God in all facets of our lives is a necessary part of embracing His presence. It entails taking a moment to recognize His closeness, asking for His wisdom when making decisions, and receiving comfort in His presence. Worship turns becomes a way of life, and prayer becomes an ongoing dialogue.

Today, as you go about your day, stop for a moment and thank God for being there. Invite Him into your thoughts and deeds while you’re engaged in them. Allow His presence to comfort you, lead you, and give you the knowledge that you are never alone. God is always at your side.
