I am the LORD your God…Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Psalms 81:10 (NKJV)
I love watching birds feed their young ones. The process demonstrates motherly love, care, and consideration for the individual needs of different chicks.
Baby birds depend 100% on their mother for their nutritional needs. She knows the feeding requirements of each. She carefully selects and partially digests nutritious food, before placing it into the mouth of respective chicks.
However, each chick has a role to play. It has to open its mouth for mother to fill it. Through the Psalmist, God told the Israelites, “I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it” (Psalms 81:10).
God reminded His people of His power and how He had delivered them from Egypt with an outstretched arm. If He did this, which of their request would be too hard for Him to answer?
The amount of food a chick gets depends on how wide it opens its mouth. Today, God wants to fill your life with good things (NLT) but how much you get will be determined by how much you ask for.
Are you satisfied with an average life, believing that God cannot bless you beyond your current situation? Do you have big dreams for your life, studies, career, marriage, family, church, community, and country?
How big is your dream? Do you have enough faith that God will answer your prayers? God will fill every basket that is brought to Him. How big is your basket?
Lord Jesus, always remind me that there is no dream You cannot fulfil if it is according to Your will.
I love this
It motivates me continue asking, I should not limit my God by not asking.
