When God is Your Hiding Place

You are my hiding place. You shall preserve me from trouble. You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
Psalms 32:7 (NKJV)

Today’s key scripture is a reminder that God is neither far away nor unbothered by what affects us. He is a sanctuary where we can seek solace from life’s turbulence. We could be tempted to turn to items that merely offer short-term solace when life’s obstacles become too much to handle.

Your Preserve Me from Trouble

However, the psalmist directs our attention to God’s everlasting sanctuary. This is an active staying in His presence rather than a passive hiding. In addition to keeping us safe, God fills our souls with songs of deliverance, which continue to remind us of His ability and willingness to keep us safe and secure.

Furthermore, God does more than just assist us in overcoming our difficulties. He changes our viewpoint, enabling us to sing despite difficulties. His “songs of deliverance” remind us of His triumphs in our own lives.

When God is Your Hiding Place

When you are feeling scared or uncertain, allow God to be your hiding place. Let His promises be your solace and His Word be your haven. Consider instances in which God has delivered you from trying circumstances. Allow such recollections to fortify your faith.

Moreover, even in the face of dire circumstances, allow God to fill you with joy and to replace your fears with His peace. Remember that God’s protection is an invitation to celebrate in His unwavering love as well as a barrier against harm.
