Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)
Paul tells us in today’s main text that we must depend, not on our own abilities, but on the Lord’s strength. He stresses that human strength is insufficient to fight spiritual warfare. Consequently, we must learn to trust our lives to God’s almighty hand.
Be Strong in the Lord
In life, we frequently encounter seemingly insurmountable obstacles such as disagreements, temptations, phobias, and difficulties. We could feel overburdened or insufficient during these times. Paul, however, directs us to the Lord Himself as the origin of real power. He calls us to fully rely on God’s boundless power rather than to find courage within ourselves.
The Lord’s strength is not ephemeral. or situation-specific. It is unwavering, consistent, and more than sufficient for each challenge we encounter. Through faith, we have access to the power that created the universe and resurrected Christ.
How to Remain Strong
As you begin your day, give up your plans to God and acknowledge your reliance on Him in all aspects of your life. Further, be a keen student of the Bible. The more you meditate on scripture, the more you tap into the power and promises of God. When difficulties arise, hold on to God’s power.
That said, being powerful is not the only thing our core text emphasizes. It reminds us to continually tap into divine power. Ours should be a daily, living connection with God, not erratic. responses spurred by negative circumstances. That is how we remain strong in life.
Prayer
Almighty God, whenever I feel like giving in due to life’s challenges, remind me to be strong in You and in the power of Your might.
