Contemplating God’s Inscrutable Wisdom

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable Hs ways!

How deep is the ocean? Well, the depths of the ocean are still mostly unknown, despite all of our technological advances. How does that compare with the knowledge and wisdom of our all-powerful God, the creator of the ocean?

O the Depths of God’s Wisdom

After a lengthy explication of God’s plan of redemption, and consideration of God’s omnipotent goals, Paul is overcome with awe at the size and incomprehensibility of God’s knowledge.

Sometimes We find it difficult to comprehend God’s working in our lives. We ask God to heal us, but the illnesses persist. We look for guidance, yet there is still ambiguity. Then we must Keep in mind that our finite intellects are not designed to fully comprehend God’s ways. His plans are far above our capacity for human thinking, and His Judgments are unsearchable.

Contemplating God’s Inscrutable Wisdom

God wants us to believe, not to seek explanations. We can have faith that God’s wisdom is flawless. His knowledge is comprehensive, and His purposes are good, much as a child depends on parental affection even though they don’t always comprehend their parents’ choices.

Worship was Paul’s reaction to God’s wisdom. He only praised God without attempting to explain or study His ways. Worship is the finest way to deal with life’s uncertainties when they overwhelm you. Your troubles become less significant. when you contemplate God’s inscrutable wisdom and recognize His greatness.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am amazed by Your knowledge and wisdom. Help me to believe that You are doing everything for my benefit, even when I don’t comprehend Your ways.
