Do This If You Are Breathing!

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Psalms 150:6 (NKJV)

The final instruction in Psalm 150, which is a potent appeal to worship, is, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Our guiding verse serves as a reminder that giving thanks is essential to our existence and cannot be avoided. We are obligated to use our ability to breathe in order to exalt God.

Let Everything that has Breath….

Praise is a state of the heart and goes beyond simply singing songs in church. It is an attitude of thankfulness that recognizes God’s goodness throughout life. Praise moves us from our troubles to the magnificence of God, whether in happy or difficult circumstances.

The purpose of all living creatures is to honor their Creator. Acts of worship include the waves crashing on the shore, the trees dancing to the wind, and inspiring tunes of birds singing at morning. It is our privilege as humans to intentionally and sincerely praise God.

Do This If You Are Breathing!

God gives us every breath as a gift and a chance to glorify Him. Sometimes we take for granted the fact that every day we live is by the mercies of God. However, we discover that every instant presents a chance to adore God, to awaken with thankfulness, and to recognize that He is the source of our breath.

Praise calms anxiety, overcomes discouragement, and uplifts the spirit. It deepens our faith and brings us nearer to God. If you breathing, take a deep breath, lift up your voice and worship God, be it through prayer, song, or just simple gratitude.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for allowing me to breathe. Let appreciation flood my heart in both happiness and sadness.
