Exceedingly Abundantly Above Our Imaginations

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)

Whenever we come to God in prayer, it is important to know exactly what we want from Him. In other words, we have the outcome in mind even as we present our petitions to the Almighty. Interestingly, due to our human frailties, we tend to limit God’s operation in our lives to what our minds can comprehend.

According to His Power

The key text for today, however, serves as a potent reminder of God’s boundless capacity to influence our lives. It emphasizes that God is not curtailed by our expectations and imaginations, however lofty these may be. He transcends our human limitations. Not only is He omnipotent; we cannot fathom His abilities.

Paul exhorts us to put more faith in God’s abilities than in our own. Through the Holy Spirit, God is working in our hearts and lives, transforming our attitudes and thoughts, fortifying our faith, and directing our actions. The Lord can handle any circumstance; thus, none of your prayers can be too audacious. He enjoys going above and beyond what we dare ask.

Exceedingly Abundantly Above Our Imaginations

Have faith in the God who listens to your prayers and Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or can imagine. Knowing that God is working within you, let go of your uncertainty and fear. Have trust that God has bigger plans for you than you could ever envisage.

Prayer
Father in heaven, thank You for doing more in my life than I could ever ask or dream of. Please help me to live with faith and expectation and to fully trust You.
