How to Prove You are Approved

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,
2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)

Paul stresses the value of diligence in learning and applying God’s Word in today’s key reading. He challenges us to serve God, to be accepted by Him, and to treat His truth with purity and care.

Be Diligent

It takes work, dedication, and perseverance to live for Christ. We must read the Bible, deepen our faith, and act out God’s Word every day. We grow in spiritual maturity and insight when we commit ourselves to comprehending His truth.

God’s approval is based on obedience and faithful service, not on human recognition. We gain His approval when we live according to His will as revealed in His word. A worker who has received God’s approval finds joy in living in God’s presence and in serving the Almighty.

On the other side, we run the risk of misguiding ourselves and other people when we handle Scripture incorrectly, whether through ignorance, carelessness, or distortion. But when we handle God’s truth correctly, we can stand tall and proud knowing that we have truly obeyed His Word.

How to Prove You are Approved

Furthermore, following God’s Word entails correctly implementing and interpreting it. This calls for in-depth research, prayer, and dependence on the guidance of God’s Spirit as opposed to a cursory reading of the word.

Do I diligently study and implement the Word of God? Is my goal in life to get God’s approval, or am I more focused on getting attention from others? How can I improve my ability to handle biblical truth correctly?
