Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
Mark 10:27 (NIV)
A friend recently launched his book, which recounts his life from drug addiction to finding Jesus and a new life. His was a lost cause, a situation where many people had dismissed him as irredeemably lost.
Completely insane. Walking barefoot. Unkempt hair. Hallucinating. Hopelessly addicted to marijuana.
One day, however, Jesus found my friend, when all hope for rescue had been lost. The Lord’s words, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God” (Mark 10:27) were actualized. Only God could make the impossible possible.
Today, my friend is studying to become a Christian minister. He counsels young people who are abusing drugs. The devil wanted to destroy my buddy but God is using this guy’s negative experience to free drug addicts.
The God who parted the Red Sea for the Israelites to pass through is still in the miracle business. The One who gave manna to the children of Jacob in the wilderness still provides food for His people in ways we cannot understand.
The man who walked on the face of the earth, healing the sick and giving sight to the blind did not close that department. Today, he performs financial miracles for people who have no source of income.
God provides school fees for needy student. He provides money for hospital bills. He gives rent to those in arrears. He is still in the miracle business.
What miracle do you need today? Call Jesus now. He is the God of the impossible.
Father, as I face the challenges of this day, please make the impossible possible.
Lord God always provide for our daily needs.
Amen, Brian. And He will.
