Are You Running Late?

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law.

Galatians 4:4 (NIV)

Ever heard of ‘African Time’? This is the belief that people from this continent do not keep time.

I believe there is nothing like ‘African Time’. I consider it a lame excuse by people with poor time management habits.  Why are the same people not late for job interviews? Because when you value an appointment highly, you will keep time.

These human inconsistences remind me to thank God because He is definite with His timing. In Galatians 4:4, Paul writes, “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law.”

The birth of Jesus happened at the exact time that God had planned (Read Daniel 9:25). Paul calls is the ‘set time’. Jesus was not born a second early or a second late. God’s plans are exact, precise and always on time.

Have you waited for your prayers to be answered for so long that you feel God has forgotten you? Do you feel like it is getting too late? Are you tempted to find alternative solutions that are contrary to the will of God?

Don’t give up yet. It is possible God’s perfect time for fulfilling your prayers has not yet arrived. If you solve your problems, using methods that do not please God, you are likely to have a future full of pain and regrets.

Wait for the Lord. He is never wrong. His timing is perfect. He is always right on time.

Father, give me patience to wait for your perfect time for answering my prayers.
