See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.
James 5:7 (NKJV)
Joseph did not become the Prime Minister of Egypt by chance. He was not an elected popular leader. Joseph did not come from the royal family. He was not even an Egyptian.
It was a life of hardship and misery. From a dark pit, he transitioned into slavery. Just when life seemed to improve in Potiphar’s house, Joseph landed in prison. It was from here that God elevated him to power and influence.
Joseph went through the school of hard knocks before he could realize his dreams. He was like the farmer James talks about: “See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain (James 5:7).
You cannot plant seeds in the morning and expect to harvest them in the evening. Between planting and harvesting, there is a long process of weeding and nurturing the plants to fruition. You will also rely on God for rain and sunshine before you harvest.
Like Joseph, you will not be elevated suddenly to power and influence. It will take a mix of hard work, ridicule, humiliation, perseverance, prayer, and God’s hand to rise to the top. Nobody will provide a lift. You will have to take the stairs.
If you feel like giving up today, remember that life is a process, not an event. Ask God for patience and perseverance. Pray that you will remain faithful to the end. Let your hardships be stepping stones to the realization of your dreams.
Father, help me appreciate the value of tough experiences in fulfilling Your purpose for me.
Amen elder ,,how i pray that God grants ms atience to live through the tough times
He will, because He is our loving Father.
