Daily Devotional – Tuesday, November 16, 2021
Listen to Me… Who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb, even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
Isaiah 46:3-4 (NKJV)
We celebrate every stage of human life. Conception, birth, successive birthdays, first day in school and graduations. Baptisms, weddings and other important landmarks are also reasons for rejoicing. Even death, especially of those who live long, is celebrated.
Any parent would want to walk with their children throughout the offspring’s life. It gives one joy and a sense of accomplishment to see their descendants progressing through life and achieving individual goals.
Unfortunately, life does not offer this luxury. Separation, divorce, disease and death may prevent parents from being with their children at every stage of life.
Now, do you know there is a parent who does not miss any day or stage of His children’s lives? This parent is so powerful and so caring that he carries you like a baby throughout your life.
What a Comforting Promise!
Isaiah introduces us to this amazing parent:
“Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: even to your old age. I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” (Isaiah 46:3-4).
Note that God was with you from the time you were conceived. He celebrated your birth. Jehovah has been walking with you throughout your life. He promises to carry you into old age and grey hairs.
I love the climax of this passage, “I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” How comforting is it to know that God cares for you so much that He will be present all through your life? Whatever challenges you face today, take comfort in knowing that God has walked with you throughout your life and is not yet done with you. Your Father will watch over you until the day He allows you to stop breathing.
Caring Father, thank You for being with me in all stages of my life while showering me with Your loving care.

Indded such comforting words ,knowing that at each stage of my life no matter how tough my Saviour is with me all the way,motivates me to keep on pushing through all situations.
