“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
Isaiah 54:10 (NKJV)
As a parent, I love it when my children trust me fully. They must believe that my giving and my denials equally reveal my love and concern for them. I am happy when they know I mean the best for them, even when my actions and words appear contrary.
Our heavenly Father demonstrates the perfect love of a parent for his children. We expect Him to give us joy and comfort. However, because He wants us to grow and mature in faith, He lets us face trials and temptations.
My Kindness Shall Not Depart From You
For our relationship with our Father in heaven to flourish, we must believe and cherish this promise:
“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you. (Isaiah 54:10).
God’s love, kindness and mercy are more permanent than the hills in your country. He is God when we obey Him and when we rebel. His kindness is active when we possess and when we lack. God is merciful when we are healthy and when we are unwell.
God Has Your Best Interests at Heart
Because His love, kindness and mercy do not change, we should trust Him and follow Him unconditionally. Whatever challenges you face today, remember God has your best interests at heart.
